Re: Comments of the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local 62 on the Advanced Nuclear Options PaperTo the Members of the New York State Department of Public Service:As a member of the Central and Northern New York Building and Construction Trade Council, we would like to echo the sentiment put forward by the council. Local 62 covers most of the North Country of the state, throughout Central New York and down to the Pennsylvania border. Our union, other trade unions, as well as the communities in which we live, have proven that we can not only man, but also build and maintain such facilities successfully and with longevity. The proof of that is apparent by the example we have already set over the years in which such facilities have operated within our territory.With all the projects currently being planned and worked on in the area, this project would be best suited to be included in what we strongly feel is the resurgence of Upstate New York to the forefront of our Nations future.
