Propel NY's outreach team has initiated community engagement with MIS-INFORMATION, telling residents that the transmission lines project will NOT deliver offshore wind energy, despite reliable data, including their own website, indicating otherwise. This is deeply concerning, as their role is to educate residents with facts and transparency. Given that their community engagement has begun with such misinformation, we are highly skeptical of any future communications from this developer. They have shown that they cannot be trusted and are unlikely to be a good neighbor to the 1.5 million residents directly impacted by this project. This lack of transparency and honesty is unacceptable, and it raises serious concerns about the integrity of the entire process. Multiple credible sources confirm that the primary purpose of the Propel NY project is to deliver offshore wind energy to the rest of New York State.
