I found the massive amounts of information available very cumbersome to sift through to identify how this powerline may impact where I live, that is proven by the lack of public comments because this powerline will impact hundreds of residents. Where is am located the wooden poles are not from the 1940's as stated they are from 1980's when the NYPA was constructed in Marcy. They are not visible from my home due to the 65ft height and the number of trees behind my home. The proposed line however doubling in height to 135ft and an increased width of each tower to 53 ft will be clearly visible from the road approaching my home, or anywhere on my property. I can hear the audible noise from the existing powerlines from my home now, it's also noticeably louder on a rainy or snowy day. Increasing the voltage capacity from 230kv to 345 kv for 2 lines will increase the noise levels substantially along with an increase in electromagnetic waves. There are more than enough powerlines crossing in every direction in the Town of Marcy, I do not believe this town should be forced to accept anymore. Approximately 10-12yrs ago trees on my property were negligently cut down by a tree service at the direction of National Grid. National grid was forced to pay restitution. There should be better landowner communication for any work being performed on or near private property. Just this past summer I have drill crews on my property which is not within any easement or access for this powerline. Figure 2-6 of Aerial Photography also shows a proposed access road from Mallory Rd to the powerlines for construction on private property. I should not have to tolerate construction activity on the side of my home and behind my home. Any access for this line, improvements or maintenance for this line should be only from easements and property owned by National grid and the NYPA. There is access from the other side of the power lines on NYPA property this should be used, not access on private property without an easement between 2 residential homes. Overall, this proposed line will disrupt the wildlife (which is why I purchased this property to begin with), it will disrupt the quality of life during construction, and it will leave a lasting impact with the increased electromagnetic waves and increased noise pollution that myself and my neighbors will be forced to endure. Thank You.
