to Hon. Michelle L. Phillips, Secretary My wife Bonnie and myself have owned this 13 acres of land on Shuetown Rd. for almost 20 years. We built our retirement home on about a half acre of what we could use outside of the easement for the power lines. Amy Rood, a forester and two other planners came to us last year and told us of the future construction taking place on our land. We are all for the upgrade to the power lines, but then they said they wanted another 12 1/2 feet of our property, we were taken by surprise because it sounded like it was a done deal and we had nothing to say about it. I know this project is huge and entails hundreds of miles of ROW and 12.5 feet is not very much but this would severely impact our lives here. I offered an alterative as we had a hedge row between PASNY ROW and NIMO ROW . This hedge row was not on either right of way. What would be the issue if the lines were to move 12.5 ft. to the west? It would be negligible for the most part. Giving up another 12.5 ft. would put us right on the edge of the easement and force us to be even nearer the inherent danger placing us in harms way. We would also have to remove three buildings in close proximity to the existing easement. I am also afraid of the damage that would be done to our well that would be close to the site of on of the future poles. I'm asking clearer minds will prevail in the near future. Thanking you in advance I remain Sincerely, John and Bonnie Donahue
