Hope Station Opportunity Area Neighborhood Council was founded as a 501(c)3 non-profit in 2000 to enhance the quality of life, health, safety, and economic status of the residents of the neighborhood surrounding Memorial Park in particular and the whole of Carlisle in general. Hope Station¿s board, per its bylaws, is drawn from Hope Station residents (in the majority) and other members of the Carlisle community. Hope Station is based on the priorities and concerns of the neighborhood. It serves as a catalyst to improve the surrounding neighborhood by collaborating with existing entities, creating innovative opportunities, and fostering community development and a high quality of life. Hope Station was accepted as a member agency of United Way of Carlisle and Cumberland County. We have a variety of initiatives, with many partners, Comcast being one of then. Comcast for the past 5 years has funded our Youth Leadership Class. They have given us $25,000.00 dollars and they can to us to give support. They have a day of caring where their workers have cleaned Hope Station. C0omcast gives us free internet service. They are a great partner!
